Boruto questions Kiseru about Batta and Fugou, prompting Kiseru to flee after Namua sacrifices himself to open a gate. Kiseru escapes using Fire Style jutsu, overpowering Rokuro before Boruto intervenes. Meanwhile, Team Sarada faces assailants who previously trapped Mitsuki. Sarada identifies them as Konoha ANBU investigating disappearances, who reveal Kiseru is an undercover agent for Kara. Shamo discovers this via a dropped scroll and rushes to stop the conflict, taking a hit for Boruto. Kiseru, realizing the situation is a genjutsu based on clues from a missing agent, stabs Boruto to wake him. Boruto awakens in a lab with everyone alive inside pods.
