Oct 11, 2017Kagura practices with the Hiramekarei to join the Seven Ninja Swordsman of Mist. Boruto visits to congratulate him, but they are ambushed by Water Style jutsu. The attacker is revealed to be Shizuma Hoshigaki, who plans to kill Boruto to start a war. Shizuma reminds Kagura of a past incident where he saved Kagura from killing an academy student. He claims the current Mizukage hires assassins against opponents. Boruto fights Shizuma and his subordinates, using a new technique to pass them, but is easily defeated. Kagura saves Boruto from drowning. Shizuma orders Kagura to kill Boruto, but Kagura turns his sword on Shizuma instead. Kagura agrees to join Shizuma’s group and asks for Boruto’s life to be spared. Boruto faints from his injuries. Sarada learns of the incident from Hachiya. Suigetsu reveals Shizuma’s full name in the Hidden Mist Village before disappearing when Mitsuki arrives. Boruto learns Kagura feels indebted to Shizuma due to past actions. Sarada wants to inform the teachers, but Boruto insists on saving Kagura himself. Sarada agrees to join him under the condition they go together.

Seeking his own identity, Mitsuki left Orochimaru for the Hidden Leaf Village, drawn to Boruto. Returning to the present, Mitsuki informs both Boruto and Sarada that he will always trust them.
