Ep. 9: Belgrieve raises the child Demon King after Angeline abandons revenge

Priestess and Byaku convince Angeline they seek atonement before Lucrecian Church Inquisitors attack. Angeline kills them, then learns her father, a Lucrecian Bishop, was falsely accused of heresy and assassinated by the Inquisition. Having acted for revenge, she abandons it after Belgrieve saves her, deciding to escort the pair to Helvetica in Bordeaux to apologize. Marguerite confronts the resurrected Demon King, but Belgrieve forces her to retreat upon realizing the child is human and non-threatening. Resenting their interference, Marguerite flees Graham until Belgrieve convinces her to return for an apology. Leo fears the Inquisition but allows Angeline to protect Priestess. As Miasma affects Turnera, Belgrieve discovers the source is a mutated monster, not the Demon King. Graham confirms the child possesses Demon King magic but has a human body. Belgrieve decides to raise the child, unsure of Angeline’s reaction to gaining a sibling.
