Ep. 2: Annie and Candy face danger in a stream and bond at a hunting lodge

Annie feels sad about lacking parents, so Candy plans a countryside picnic to cheer her up. While wading in a stream, the current sweeps them away. Mr. Brighton and his farmhand, who are hunting nearby, rescue the girls. They visit the impressive Brighton hunting lodge, where they receive dry clothes, barbecue shish-kebabs, and an invitation to ride horses. Annie behaves well, but Candy remains cheeky. Annie suggests Mr. Brighton adopt them both, leading Candy to argue and return to Pony's Home. Annie stays the night at the estate. Both girls cannot sleep and miss each other. Annie returns the next morning, and the reunited pair swear never to be separated again.
