Rumors spread when Kourin transfers to Aichi’s class, prompting male students to approach him. To promote Vanguard, Aichi establishes a Cardfight Club, requiring five members. He distributes leaflets, and Kourin joins first. Other boys follow, seeking to be near her, but Kourin mandates they defeat her or Aichi in cardfights. While the duo easily repels challengers, Naoki steps forward. He reveals he knew Aichi during elementary school at Miyaji Academy and felt guilty for not intervening in Aichi’s bullying. Inspired by Aichi’s growth through Vanguard, Naoki seeks passion. Using a Jewel Knight Royal Paladin deck, Kourin battles Naoki’s Eradicator Narukami trial deck. Naoki wins via the Break Ride ability of Eradicator, Vowing Sword Dragon, officially joining the club and marking the start of Aichi’s high school life.
