Ep. 4: Student Council Targets Cardfight Club as Football Captain Challenges Aichi
Miyaji Academy High School Division student council chairman Tatewaki Naito orders vice-chairman Itsuki Suwabe to abolish the Cardfight Club. Suwabe manipulates American football team captain Kongou Ikki, known as the Catapult, to challenge Aichi using a Spike Brothers deck. The Vipers take the club to the sub-ground for the fight. Aichi defends against Kongou’s Limit Break effects and wins by utilizing Solitary Liberator, Gancelot, and Liberator of the Round Table, Alfred. The defeat causes the team’s cheerleaders to abandon them. Naoki later learns Kongou accepted the student council’s budget bribe but primarily sought a strong opponent. The Cardfight Club remains determined to recruit a fifth member to secure official status before further council intervention.
