Shin-chan's grandparents arrive to celebrate the New Year with Shin-chan and his parents. The family shares lunch and spends the day together. Later, Hiroshi, Misae, and Shin-chan travel to a skiing location. Upon arrival, Hiroshi and Misae discover that Shin-chan has forgotten his skiing equipment at home. Despite this, the trio proceeds to the slopes. During the activity, Shin-chan loses his way and becomes separated from his parents. They eventually locate him in the company of a group of men.
