On Hatsune-Jima, Jun'ichi Asakura and his adopted sister Nemu prepare for school at Kazami Academy. Their routine is interrupted by the arrival of Sakura Yoshino, a new transfer student and Jun'ichi's cousin who has returned from America. The siblings are shocked to discover that Sakura has not aged a day since they last met six years ago. Later, Sakura sneaks into Jun'ichi's bedroom through the window just as Nemu enters. She kisses Jun'ichi on the lips, which deeply upsets Nemu. She accuses him of being a pervert and leaves the room in anger, marking a dramatic conclusion to the day's events.
