Ep. 11: Mina faces a purity test while Alphonse explains the Three Clans' control over her to Akira.

Mina endures a purity inquiry to determine if she can produce an heir, while Alphonse rescues Akira from assassins and reveals that Lucretia died by the hands of the Three Clans, who now use Mina as a vessel. Akira prepares to fight, and Alphonse urges Mina to stay strong. Mina raises the stakes of her wager with the Three Clans leaders, offering her life as collateral; if the assassins fail to kill Akira, she is freed. Akira battles an assassin with tentacled arms who questions him about the true blood lineage. Unable to transform, Akira is rescued by Mei Ren, who reveals her true form and confesses her love. The assassin then casts them into a pit, changing into Yuki’s appearance to cut Akira’s chest. Upon waking, Akira sees Mina’s form and, enraged by the repeated questions about the legacy, transforms into a werewolf and kills the assassin.
