The DigiDestined return home, but the 8th child's Digivice is taken by Kari's cat. This device emits a signal that attracts DemiDevimon, Raremon, and Izzy. While Kabuterimon defeats Raremon, Izzy and Tentomon fail to locate the 8th child, who is revealed to be Kari. The episode focuses on the separation of the group and the unsuccessful attempt to find the missing child amidst the chaos caused by the stray Digivice and its unintended summons.
