Ep. 34: Gatomon and Wizardmon reveal Kari as the eighth child and retrieve the Crest of Light.

Gatomon, unable to kill Kari, teams up with Wizardmon to find her Digivice. Wizardmon, motivated by gratitude, introduces Gatomon to Kari and assures Tai of their peaceful intent. Kari is confirmed as the eighth child, establishing Gatomon as her partner. Together, they attempt to secure the Crest of Light from Myotismon. Wizardmon hides the crest in his cloak while Gatomon confronts Myotismon, empowered by her new purpose. However, upon learning the truth, Myotismon kills Wizardmon and captures Gatomon, forcing her to reveal her partner's identity.
