Ep. 47: SaberLeomon battles MetalEtemon while Puppetmon faces the DigiDestined in a clash of honor and friendship.
After saving Joe and Mimi from MetalEtemon, SaberLeomon reunites with his old friend Leomon, who can now warp digivolve. They find Gekomon and Otamamon hiding in Digitamamon's ruined diner before MetalEtemon attacks. Leomon transforms into SaberLeomon to fight but is mortally wounded protecting Mimi. An enraged Zudomon cracks MetalEtemon's armor with his Vulcan's Hammer, allowing SaberLeomon to deliver the killing blow. Meanwhile, Puppetmon confronts the DigiDestined with RedVegiemon until Garudamon destroys his Bullet Hammer. Puppetmon activates his manor's robot mode to escape but is fatally wounded by MetalGarurumon's Metal Wolf Claw. As he dies, Puppetmon realizes Cherrymon was right about the power of friendship. Leomon passes away after making peace with Ogremon, prompting Mimi and Joe to seek reinforcements while Tai's group continues fighting the remaining Dark Masters.
