Ep. 44: Puppetmon attacks with Garbagemon while Matt faces Cherrymon's manipulation regarding Tai.

Seeking revenge, Puppetmon deploys a group of Garbagemon to assault the DigiDestined. During this conflict, Matt meets Cherrymon, a subordinate of Puppetmon who exploits Matt's doubts about his own ability to change. Cherrymon claims Matt must defeat Tai, who he believes holds Matt back. Despite his internal struggle, Matt resolves his decision after Gabumon pledges unwavering support for whatever path Matt chooses. As Matt and MetalGarurumon reunite with the other DigiDestined, MetalGarurumon defeats the final Garbagemon and urges Agumon to warp digivolve for the upcoming battle. Meanwhile, Puppetmon eliminates Cherrymon after the minion foolishly warns against underestimating the DigiDestined's advantages.
