Ep. 10: Hyakkimaru encounters Nuinokata and Dororo learns the fox's role in the war.

After a nine-tailed fox escapes Hyakkimaru, Daigo and Tahomaru question him. Hyakkimaru shares his life story but declines Daigo’s offer to join Lord Togashi’s forces against the Asakura. That night, Hyakkimaru is mistaken for a spy while exploring the mansion. He is hidden by Nuinokata, Daigo’s wife, leading to a silent moment of recognition before he flees and suppresses his feelings. Meanwhile, Sukeroku rescues Dororo from the river. Sukeroku reveals he was separated from his parents by the war and now lives across the Banmon. He explains that the nine-tailed fox sustains the conflict by consuming the bodies of dead soldiers. Later, Hyakkimaru fights off another fox attack and witnesses Daigo preparing his troops for a dawn assault on the Asakura.
