Aired on June 1, 1969

9
Hyakkimaru and Dororo encounter a wooden wall marked with arrowheads, where they repel a nine-tailed fox attack. The next day, soldiers execute three captives as Asakura spies using the wall. Dororo attempts to intervene but is thrown aside, prompting Hyakkimaru to kill a samurai with his prosthetic sword. The commander, Daigo Kagemitsu, learns of Hyakkimaru’s missing body parts and suspects he is his son, leading him to withdraw. Later, the pair reach a town where wary residents, fearing conflict between warring lords, throw Dororo into a river. Hyakkimaru is accused of being a spy but meets Tahomaru, who invites him to Daigo’s house. While waiting, Hyakkimaru spots the nine-tailed fox outside the window again.
