EP 1Senku creates instant noodles and uses Lillian's recording to deceive Tsukasa's forces.
Jan 14, 2021Senku prepares space food to sustain his team during the conflict with Tsukasa. Assisted by Chrome and Kaseki, he produces cup ramen. That evening, Senku, Gen, and Chrome utilize a recording of Lillian’s voice to mislead Tsukasa Empire soldiers, aiming to boost morale regarding a reliable ally. The following morning, Chrome, Gen, and Magma approach the battlefield to deploy a phone. They employ sound bombs in the forest to distract Homura, a member of the Tsukasa Empire. The distraction succeeds, allowing the trio to advance toward the combat zone. Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Funimation added a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode stating that the English dub voice actors were able to record their lines from the safety of their homes. This disclaimer is played weekly before the English dub broadcast.
EP 2The Phone Squad Delivers the Device While Kohaku Captures Homura
Jan 21, 2021Gen, Chrome, and Magma transport the telephone to Taiju and Yuzuriha. Meanwhile, Homura is drawn by bomb sounds, prompting Kohaku to pursue her. A flashback reveals Homura’s gymnastics background. Senku temporarily blinds Homura with a flare, but she escapes easily. After noticing the absence of Gen, Chrome, and Magma, Homura is lured by a fake antenna and captured by Kohaku. The group completes the phone installation at the graveyard. Taiju and Yuzuriha locate the device and successfully establish communication with Senku.

Jan 28, 2021While Yuzuriha and Taiju visit a grave, Gen, Chrome, and Magma evade Ukyo, with Chrome igniting a fire to facilitate their escape. Taiju asks Nikki to listen to a message from his friend. Nikki expresses shock at the phone, and Gen adopts the persona of Lillian Weinberg. To verify her identity, Nikki asks about CD sales, prompting Senku to provide the correct figure. Still doubtful, she inquires about Lillian's physical proportions. Upon receiving the answer, Nikki identifies the speaker as an impostor. Senku then plays an audio recording of the real Lillian, obtained from Byakuya. Convinced by this evidence, Nikki agrees to cooperate with Senku.
EP 4Senku builds a steam locomotive while Chrome is captured and interrogated by Tsukasa.
Feb 4, 2021Nikki and Senku consider recruiting members from Tsukasa's Empire. Chrome is captured by Ukyo and taken to Tsukasa's headquarters, where he is dangled over a waterfall during interrogation. Tsukasa pressures Chrome to betray Senku and the village in exchange for their safety and Senku's head. Ukyo lies to Tsukasa, claiming he found Chrome scouting caves. Meanwhile, Magma returns to Ishigami Village, where Kaseki completes a wheel. Senku designs a steam engine vehicle and uses beeswax to create molds for pistons and other components. Back at the village, Senku finishes constructing the locomotive. Chrome declares his intention to teach Tsukasa about the wonders of science. The narrative contrasts the technological advancements at the village with the tension surrounding Chrome's captivity and Tsukasa's demands.
EP 5Science Team Modifies Steam-Gorilla Into Armored Tank For Rescue Mission
Feb 11, 2021Chrome remains imprisoned at Tsukasa's headquarters while Kaseki completes the automobile body known as the Steam-Gorilla. The Science Team departs to rescue him, with Senku unable to convince elderly villagers to stay behind. After camping near a cliff where Kohaku keeps watch and Suika scouts ahead, Senku modifies the Steam-Gorilla into a tank. He constructs Paper-Shields for armor, demonstrating their strength when Kinro’s spear breaks upon impact. Meanwhile, Tsukasa prepares anti-vehicle traps in anticipation of Senku’s potential vehicle construction.
EP 6Chrome escapes prison using chemical tricks and a mysterious battery aid
Feb 18, 2021Tsukasa revives Yo, a former police officer known for his strength. A flashback of Yo's previous life is shown where he was fired for killing a fleeing criminal. Chrome manages to go outside by using the need to excrete as an excuse, where he collects materials. Chrome mulls over the need of a battery in order to escape. Later that night someone sneaks a battery into his cell. Chrome tries to use the battery to blow up the bamboo-gate. However, Yo quickly stops it. Chrome exercises to use his sweat and make "sodium hydroxide" to melt the rope holding the bamboo together, consequently Chrome avoids the anti-vehicle traps and escapes. Yo corners Chrome. However, Chrome fakes pneumonia and strikes Yo who was taken-aback, escaping to Senku's hideout.
EP 7Senku builds a tank and secures alliances while Tsukasa uncovers secrets at a grave.
Feb 25, 2021Senku employs the Steam-Gorilla to seize The Miracle Cave and utilizes Lillian's recording to win over Tsukasa's men. Ukyo exposes Yuzuriha's covert efforts to restore statues destroyed by Tsukasa. Following Chrome's escape, Yo frames a subordinate and flees after handing over his right eye stone. Ukyo proposes a "no death" cooperation term, which Senku accepts after Ukyo suspects Hyoga sacrificed warriors to poison gas. Tsukasa and Hyoga visit a grave to honor Yo. Senku completes the tank construction just as Taiju arrives. Meanwhile, Tsukasa finds a phone concealed at the grave site.
EP 8Senku and allies assault the Kingdom of Science while facing Tsukasa Empire forces at the miracle cave.
Mar 4, 2021Senku recalls his initial de-petrification as he and Taiju reflect on their awakening. The Kingdom of Science advances toward the miracle cave, deploying a gorilla-tank to lower enemy morale. Kohaku leads a frontal assault, but the tank is disabled by anti-steam traps. Magma and Chrome utilize a Sonic-Cannon to immobilize Tsukasa Empire soldiers. Nikki and Ukyo intercept Minami to prevent her from warning Tsukasa. Tsukasa and Hyoga unexpectedly arrive at the cave, where Hyoga injures Ukyo. Kohaku and Kokuyo engage Tsukasa directly to buy Senku time to escape the battlefield.
EP 9Senku creates dynamite to force surrender while Tsukasa reveals his motivation to revive his sister Mirai.
Mar 11, 2021During the battle between Kohaku’s group and Tsukasa alongside Hyoga, Senku, Gen, and Chrome work to produce gunpowder. Chrome extracts sulfuric acid from a tank, which is combined with nitric acid and glycerin from soap to create nitroglycerin and subsequently dynamite. This development causes Tsukasa’s men to surrender. Tsukasa and Senku discuss the former’s desire for a pure world, revealing his motivation stems from his younger sister Mirai. A flashback shows Mirai was declared clinically brain dead and entered a coma, prompting Tsukasa to become a boxer to protect her. Senku proposes a truce in exchange for reviving Mirai. The group travels to the site of her former hospital, where Tsukasa reiterates his unchanging goals despite his regrets. Finally, Senku and his crew excavate Mirai from the ground.
EP 10Senku and Tsukasa unite to defeat Hyoga after reviving Mirai
Mar 18, 2021Senku negotiates a truce with Tsukasa by reviving his sister Mirai using revival-fluid. After Homura collapses the miracle-cave with dynamite, Hyoga tries to kill Mirai, but Tsukasa shields her and gets speared. Both Senku and Tsukasa are swept into a river, where Hyoga follows to preach his elitist doctrine. Upon reaching the shore, Tsukasa and Senku attack Hyoga. Senku ignites Hyoga with gunpowder, but the attacker extinguishes the flames with his robe and overpowers them. Finally, Senku uses a makeshift taser to stun Hyoga, ending the immediate threat.
EP 11Chrome and Tsukasa unite to build civilization while Senku plans Tsukasa's preservation.
Mar 25, 2021Chrome and Tsukasa's forces combine efforts to establish a scientific society. Kohaku captures Homura, and Hyoga is held captive. Gen successfully revives a manga artist from the past. Yo returns to the group and resolves to help restore broken statues to atone for his past actions. Senku instructs the creation of superglue to seal wounds, though this is a ruse to buy time. He decides to petrify Tsukasa to preserve his life, building a refrigerator for the purpose. Tsukasa dies and is frozen inside with his injuries intact. Senku promises to revive him once he masters petrification and de-petrification to heal the wounds. Senku then calls an assembly to announce their goal of uncovering the secrets of petrification and constructing a ship to explore the world.
