A socially awkward engineer and a timid samurai, both financially ruined after an incident, set sail from Japan to America on a boat. To earn money, they enter the Trans-America Wild Race, a high-stakes competition from Los Angeles to New York. Using a steam-powered car they constructed, the pair faces eccentric competitors, dangerous outlaws, and the harsh wilderness. The first two episodes were available on some platforms from March 21, with regular airing beginning on April 10.
