Ep. 2: Bulma prepares the ship while Pan sneaks aboard, leaving Goten behind for his girlfriend

Bulma prepares the spaceship for Goku’s journey, prompting Gohan to join in order to help locate the Black Star Dragon Balls. Pan feels frustrated and disappointed because she is considered too young to travel, especially after being treated like a child recently. At launch, Vegeta replaces Gohan with Trunks and Goten, arguing that the latter two have grown soft during the peace. Consequently, Trunks must step down from his role as president of Capsule Corp. As Goten says farewell to his girlfriend, Trunks and Goku board the vessel. However, Pan has secretly entered the control room and initiates the blast-off before Goten can board. The mission proceeds with Goku, Trunks, and Pan, allowing Goten to return to his romantic life.
