Ep. 42: Goku Faces Hell's Villains After Trunks Is Attacked by Androids
Aired on April 16, 1997
Trunks arrives at Goku's home severely injured, revealing that Android 17 attacked him. He explains that Dr. Gero and Dr. Myuu demand Goku enter a black hole in hell to fight, threatening to resurrect Cell and Frieza otherwise. As mysterious monsters resembling Goku's past foes destroy the city, Goku travels to hell. There, the doctors reveal they created loyal Android 17 replicas that fuse into the powerful Super Android 17. Upon Goku's arrival, the doctors seal the portal, trapping him inside. With no escape, Goku must confront the resurrected Cell and Frieza in the underworld.
