Krillin and Gohan learn that Namekian Dragon Balls revive only one person per wish. They use the first wish to resurrect Piccolo, restoring Kami and Earth’s Dragon Balls. The second wish sends Piccolo to Namek, but vague wording places him far from the battle. Vegeta awakens, realizing he was deceived, and rushes to confront them. Krillin and Gohan offer the final wish to Vegeta, hoping his immortality will defeat Frieza. Dende speaks the wish, but Grand Elder Guru dies before it is granted. Porunga disintegrates, and the Dragon Balls turn to stone. Vegeta’s hope vanishes as Frieza arrives, furious that his own immortality plans have been thwarted by the Namekians’ actions.
