Vegeta intervenes before Android 19 drains Goku’s energy, kicking the android to save him. Yamcha transports Goku home to receive the heart antidote. Vegeta confronts the androids and surprises everyone by transforming into a Super Saiyan, driven by rage over his inability to surpass Goku rather than a friend’s death. He gains the upper hand against Android 19, who attempts energy absorption. Vegeta counters by tearing off the android’s hands, rendering the attack useless. As the terrified android flees, Vegeta uses his Big Bang Attack to destroy it, leaving only the head intact. Android 20 escapes into nearby cliffs, intending to use the terrain for a surprise attack on the Z Fighters.
