The Z Fighters divide to locate Android 20, leading Vegeta to blast cliffs in frustration. Android 20 absorbs the ki attack and flees, ambushing Piccolo to drain his energy. Gohan senses the danger and intervenes, allowing Piccolo to recover with a Senzu bean and defeat the android. Meanwhile, Trunks arrives from the future, noting that the remains of Android 19 differ from his timeline. He joins the battle but does not recognize Android 20. Realizing he cannot win, Android 20 retreats to his laboratory after launching a massive explosion that destroys most of the area and causes Bulma's ship to crash to the ground.
