Ep. 57: Goku meets Trunks who warns of androids and gives him a heart cure

A space pod lands on Earth, and Goku emerges to meet a mysterious teenager named Trunks. After testing Goku's Super Saiyan abilities, Trunks reveals he is the future son of Bulma and Vegeta, hailing from an apocalyptic timeline twenty years ahead. He warns that in three years, androids created by Doctor Gero will destroy Earth and kill the Z Fighters, except for Goku, who will succumb to a heart virus six months prior. Trunks provides Goku with an antidote from his time and departs. Piccolo overhears the entire exchange using his enhanced hearing. Goku vows to train with the other Z Fighters for the next three years to prepare for the impending android attack.
