Cell survives and seizes the chance to absorb Android 17, transforming into his Semi-Perfect Form and gaining overwhelming strength. 16's subsequent attacks become completely ineffective against this enhanced opponent. With the situation looking dire, Tien arrives and utilizes his Tri-Beam technique to hold Cell at bay. This intervention allows Android 16 and Android 18 to escape the immediate threat while the battle continues.
