Following Chi-Chi's advice, Krillin departs Kame House to intercept Bulma and secure her shutdown device before Cell absorbs Androids #17 and #18. Tien also leaves to assist Piccolo, who warns Android #17 about Cell. The android ignores these warnings and is swiftly defeated. Piccolo attempts to stop Cell but finds him too powerful. Cell breaks Piccolo's neck and blasts him through the chest at point-blank range, tossing the body into the sea. Cell then turns his attention to Android #17, intending to absorb him.
