Tien exhausts his ki using Tri-Beam to restrain Cell, allowing Androids #16 and #18 to escape before collapsing. Goku arrives via Instant Transmission to rescue Tien and discovers Piccolo is alive, bringing both to Kami's Lookout. Trunks and Vegeta exit the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, claiming to have surpassed Super Saiyan status, and depart to face Cell. Goku and Gohan prepare to enter the chamber for training. Meanwhile, Cell destroys islands to lure #18 out of hiding.
