The cursed Dorballom card returns to a shop after its previous owner fell to its evil influence. Kokujo visits the shop, where a young Fua Duelist named El Rio steals the card. Unable to manage the card's high mana cost, El Rio is possessed by Dorballom, which constructs a new deck for him. The demon forces El Rio to kidnap Rekuta and challenge Shobu, but Dorballom abruptly ends the duel, claiming Shobu is not the intended target. El Rio then challenges Kokujo, who accepts the match. Shobu and Rekuta arrive to witness the battle, realizing Dorballom is dueling directly. Kokujo defeats the summoned demon, causing El Rio to faint upon waking. Fua members remove the boy, while Kokujo claims the card, leaving Shobu with a blessing.

Shobu and Rekuta board, only to discover the passengers are fakes and the staff member is actually the Fua Duelist Chappi. Chappi challenges Shobu to a Non Stop Train Duel, using the train's increasing speed to pressure his opponent. Shobu wins the duel, but Chappi escapes and knocks himself out, leaving Shobu and Rekuta to stop the runaway train. Their attempt to halt the engine in the engine room instead causes the train to accelerate further, leaving them trapped on the speeding vehicle.

That night, Shobu confesses to Rekuta his inability to decline the match. The next day, while Kabutomaru packs their beds, Zerobal Holmes calls him, threatening to defeat Shobu. Kabutomaru rushes out to duel, facing Cross Gear cards for the first time. Rekuta sees the call from Zerobal and informs Shobu that Zerobal wants them to duel once their friend is removed from the way. A farmer directs them to the opposite direction, where they find Kabutomaru lying on the ground.

Meanwhile, Rekuta encounters bananas left by Imelda to catch the escaped Hendrix. Miss Kirumi and Ikinari find Hendrix missing, prompting Imelda to intervene. Shizuka spots a ritual light, confirming Yu’s suspicion. Zakira orders Dr. Manson to stop the group, sending Bura El Rio, Delicious, and Chappi. Zerobal Holmes transforms into Potman to rush the others to the castle. Dr. Root, Knight, Yu, and Bucketman fight the attackers, but Zakira’s ritual power disables Yu and Bucketman. Dr. Root and Knight continue as a Battle Royale against the reappearing foes.

Faust then closes the gates and challenges Shobu to a Kaijudo duel.

In the main match, Faust uses Heavenly Gear - Daylight Deity and Glorious Heaven's Arm to summon an evolution creature atop a stacked Cross Gear. Despite Faust breaking Shobu's shield, Shobu activates Shield Trigger X Octillion Force and crosses Final Dragarmor onto his Metalchaos Dragon, granting it Acceleration ability to secure victory. Faust reveals that Dr. Manson uses Shobu's friends as Phantasmal Duelists, but Shobu counters that he acts similarly for Hakuoh. Faust forgives Shobu and faints, but when Shobu attempts to unlock the door with Faust's key, the bridge collapses, causing everyone to fall.

Potman rescues Shobu and Rekuta from lava, leading them to an underground tunnel toward the castle. Hendrix intercepts them, forcing a Kaijudo duel. Imelda pressures Shobu, who accepts despite Rekuta’s warnings. Hendrix uses Advance Duel Tactics to summon twelve creatures, overwhelming Shobu’s shields. Shobu counters using Shield Trigger X Cross Gear Inferno Scissors and Natural Snare with Metalchaos Dragon to win. Meanwhile, Dr. Root and Knight suffer exhaustion from the Phantom Machine during their duel against El Rio, Delicious, Bura, and Chappi. Yu, Bucketman, and Shizuka search for the machine's source. Shizuka repels insects, but Yu identifies a spy bot as the communication link. Bucketman captures it, and Knight destroys it, ending their duel. All parties now proceed to the castle to save Hakuoh.

George and Mimi Survive Bridge Collapse and Face Kirumi and Jason

George and Mimi survive falling from a collapsing bridge and locate two paths leading to the castle above lava. Kirumi and Jason block their route, destroying the rear bridge to force a duel. Recalling Yu’s warning about their previous encounter with Hakuoh, the pair fears falling into the lava if they refuse. Boy George battles Jason’s Cross Gear and an Acceleration-powered creature, while Mimi fights Kirumi’s army of seven creatures. Despite the overwhelming odds, both George and Mimi emerge victorious and proceed through the tunnel to rescue Hakuoh. Meanwhile, Shobu, Rekuta, and Potman exit the tunnel and encounter the next Fua Duelist, Love, who appears to be waiting for Kokujo rather than the trio.

As Dr. Root, Knight, Extreme Bucketman, Yu Fua, and Shizuka approach Fua Castle, Zakira learns that five Fua Duelist members have been defeated. He orders Oota Qumbeech to begin their plan, transforming the castle into a fortress using Awakening Cards. Electric shocks prevent the group from reaching the structure, separating Boy George and Mimi. The duel between Kokujo and Love begins as a Kaijudo duel. Kokujo initially builds his shields, but Love uses Bolmeteus Steel Dragon to destroy them and reveals his past involvement in an attack on Kokujo’s family. Enraged, Kokujo uses Lost Soul to remove Love’s hand and summons Daidalos, General of Fury, Auzesu, Demonic Elemental, and Dulanzames, Jet-Black War Demon. After eliminating Love’s final shield, Kokujo summons Dorballom, Lord of Demons, defeating Love with zero mana, hand, and Shield Trigger. Shobu attempts to contact Kokujo, but the castle turns into a labyrinth. Meanwhile, Hakuoh’s ritual completes, implanting his second personality, (W) White.
