Shizuo walks through the district with Tom Tanaka, feeling frustrated by recent events. He spots a movie poster starring his younger brother, Kasuka Heiwajima, also known as Yuuhei Hanejima. The narrative recalls Shizuo’s childhood violence, triggered by teasing from Kasuka and classmates like Shinra, which often resulted in hospitalizations due to broken bones. After defeating robbers who injured a shop owner, Shizuo’s history with Izaya is revealed, showing how the information broker’s gang members failed to defeat him. Now working as a bartender, Shizuo receives uniforms from Kasuka. He later joins Tom to collect debts at an arcade, destroying the venue when delinquents refuse to pay. Shizuo vents to Celty, who notes his deep affection for his brother, but seeing Izaya again reignites his anger.
