Kai returns to the cathedral and unexpectedly encounters Leonid investigating the home base. They discover an underground passageway that potentially leads to the location. Meanwhile, Hitomi provides impatient Shen-Long with details regarding Shin-Lu's behavioral changes following her rehabilitation. In a separate development, Yuki, Asuka, and Maria board a ship alongside Sherry and Kyou. The vessel is serviced by Rikumi. However, the first three individuals are unaware that their actions are inadvertently guiding Sherry and Kyou directly toward the home base.
