Shen-Long is compelled to engage in combat with Shin-Lu, and Maria subsequently resolves a personal matter with Maxim. Kai proceeds into the chamber where Hikaru is held. When Kai cannot withstand Eiji, Yuki arrives to rescue Hikaru. Hikaru releases a light burst that awakens the Sacrament of Calvaria, but Asuka calms her from a distance. Kai and Eiji vanish upon colliding with psychic energy, causing urban destruction. Yuki, Asuka, and Hikaru await Kai's eventual return.
