Ep. 9: Renji denies Chihiro's death while Hiro and Miyako's affair causes Kei distress

Renji remains with Chihiro, masking his pain with smiles, while she reenacts her diary entries believing the subject is deceased. Renji angrily rejects this notion. Meanwhile, Hiro meets Miyako at a town phone booth, and after a beach walk and kiss, they spend the night together. The next morning, Kei discovers Miyako in Hiro's bed and flees in tears. She collapses on the road as Kyosuke arrives on his bicycle to help her.
