Black Shadow reveals Miss Killer was his failed weapon against Rick Wheeler, then ejects her into space. Zoda and his crew locate the pod, but Samurai Goroh intercepts them, slicing open the container to rescue Miss Killer. Goroh battles Zoda’s forces, sustaining heavy injuries while allowing Miss Killer to escape. Rick Wheeler, urged by Lucy and Jack, travels to Cryton to find Haruka. He witnesses Zoda’s defeat by the Dragon Bird’s enhanced Reactor Might. Rick reunites with Haruka in the desert, but she refuses to embrace him, fearing her transformation. As they reconcile, Black Shadow captures Haruka via tractor beam, appearing as a hologram to challenge Rick to a final confrontation if he wishes to save her.
