Rick pushes his limits training to defeat Black Shadow, ignoring his friends' concerns about his health. The F-Zero committee announces a duel between Rick and Black Shadow, which Rick accepts as destiny despite Jack's warnings. During the race, Black Shadow uses a modified Black Bull with two Reactor Mights to disable Rick's Dragon Bird and abduct him. The Platoon attempts a rescue but is blocked by Don Genie and Berserker. Rick is taken to a station where Black Shadow plans to erase his memories. Remembering his allies, Rick breaks free using the Reactor Might. Captain Falcon arrives in the Blue Falcon to help Rick escape. They return safely, and Rick reunites with Burt Lemming, who reveals he infiltrated the committee to help.
