Ray Dawn reflects on Suna's tragic history and his role in its destruction

Following Duke Diese's failed coup, Ray Dawn recalls the fall of Suna, once a village where residents saw Fairy primordials. As a guardian alongside his father and brother Jurgen, Ray witnessed the death of Marlya's parents and the elders' decision to sacrifice children to the Esteemed One. To stop this, Ray's father sacrificed himself, leading Jurgen to adopt Marlya after returning from the War of Unification with a leg injury. Marlya became an outcast, while Veronica was viewed as blessed. Years later, Ray led an army to Suna. Although ordered by the king of Kal-O to seize the fairies, Ray instead destroyed the village to prevent human abuse of their power. His troops massacred the villagers, leaving only Marlya and Veronica alive. Now celebrated as heroes with Dorothea, Ray faces Marlya's hesitation and Veronica's vow of revenge.

Ray and Dorothea take refuge in an abandoned castle after a rail bridge explosion.

Marlya, Free, Klara, and Serge escort Ray to Tsubal, but an explosion forces Ray and Dorothea into an abandoned castle. Wolfran and Michel Connor reveal the Arcame mafia orchestrated the attack for revenge. During an Arcame assault using artificial fairies, Veronica infiltrates the castle and fights Wolfran, who overpowers her fairy. Free battles Wolfran to a stalemate before Wolfran escapes. Marlya pursues Veronica, who leaps into the moat. A flashback shows that 8 years ago, Damien, a descendant of Crucia Albastora, rescued Veronica, leading to her accidental Fairy possession via a Fairy primordial. Marlya rescues Veronica, who remains obsessed with revenge against Ray. Marlya vows to find her again as Veronica departs.

The team hunts Arcame remnants while investigating Christoph Rahn's suspicious death and Axel's betrayal.

Following the surrender of Ledrad after King Olbany’s suicide during the Unification War, Marlya, Free, Klara, and Serge return from Kal-O to capture Arcame group remnants. Free remains troubled by Wolfran’s earlier question. Axel provides information leading Dorothea to search for Christoph Rahn, the presumed successor to Olbany, who is suspected of leaking details about a secret passage under the Emperor's palace to Duke Diese. The investigation ends abruptly when Axel finds Christoph dead from an apparent suicide. Free determines the death was staged and arrests Axel as the prime suspect, though they doubt his guilt. A flashback reveals Axel has been working with Liscar. Christoph had sought to hire Liscar, but Axel refused, calling him a liability, before murdering him.

Authorities in Baleun discover Black Nine, prompting a race to recover the forbidden tome from Gui Carlin executives.

During a routine inspection in the port city of Baleun, authorities discover Black Nine of the Black Fairy Tome, which was to be smuggled out of the country. Dorothea is ordered to head to Baleun to recover Black Nine as well as investigate its origins. Damien also learns of the discovery of Black Nine. Sweetie and Patricia also make their way to Baleun. Veronica and Damien arrive at Baleun first, only to run into Eajey Daven Thor, one of the four top executives of Gui Carlin who possesses the Fairy Weapon Morterant. They are forced to withdraw as Eajey takes Black Nine, and it is revealed that Crucia wrote the Black Fairy Tome based on the notes of Colen Thor, author of the White Fairy Tome and Eajey's ancestor. Dorothea arrives to find the administration building on fire, so Marlya and Free head into investigate. Sweetie approaches Veronica and Damien and proposes they work together to recover Black Nine. Eajey however attacks first, scattering Veronica, Sweetie, and Patricia and taunting Free and Marlya to come try and take Black Nine from him. As Free pursues Eajey, Marlya confronts Damien having noticed that he called out Veronica's name.

Sweetie shares Midend ruins history while Dorothea lifts Baleun blockade and Damien reveals Albastora secrets.

Sweetie and Patricia prepare to depart Baleun, during which Sweetie recounts her father’s expeditions to the Midend ruins where the Black Fairy Tome was discovered and he subsequently vanished. Meanwhile, Dorothea fails to capture Eajey and must lift the blockade on Baleun, leading to Damien’s transport back to headquarters for interrogation. Damien agrees to speak only with Nein, revealing his true identity as an Albastora and his knowledge of the Black Fairy Tome’s contents. He warns that his family tried to destroy the tome due to its dangerous nature and that groups more threatening than Gui Carlin seek it. Free requests information about Gui Carlin from Sweetie, and Prime Minister Helwise authorizes Dorothea to raid suspected high-ranking members. Finally, Marlya and Free secretly move Damien to safety away from Dorothea headquarters.

Dorothea recovers Black Three and Six while Eajey builds an army at Theodula Castle.

Following raids on Gui Carlin, Dorothea secures Black Three and Black Six, leaving Eajey as the only remaining executive with Black Nine. Eajey has retreated to the abandoned castle of Theodula to secretly construct an army of Fairy Soldiers. As Dorothea prepares to attack Theodula, Nein meets Damien and receives a warning regarding Minister of Fairies Marco Bellwood and his cult, Eins. Sweetie and Patricia also arrive at Theodula, intending to steal Black Nine during the raid. Marlya, Klara, and Serge remain to defend against Eajey's forces while Free confronts him directly. Free defeats Eajey, causing him to fall to his death. Veronica discovers the corpse and steals Morterant. Dorothea claims Black Nine, but it is subsequently stolen by Wolfran and Michel. Marlya is shocked to witness Michel using Ozz's Fairy.

Marlya defeats Michel and Nein orders a mission to investigate Fairy possession with Damien

Marlya confronts Michel, whose Ozz's Fairy refuses to attack her, allowing her to banish it with a new power. Michel is taken into custody, leading Dorothea to suspect Wolfran and Michel work for the Ministry of Fairies to complete the Black Fairy Tome using Black Nine. Recognizing Marlya's unique abilities as a Fairy possessed individual, Nein tasks her and Free with retrieving Damien for further insights. Damien reveals that Marco intends to use the Black Fairy Tome to revive the Divine Beast, a powerful entity that destroyed the ancient civilization of Tupal. He urgently requests a meeting with Prime Minister Helwise to share this warning. Upon learning of this threat, Helwise orders the arrest of Marco and his accomplices, authorizing Dorothea to launch a raid on the Ministry of Fairies.

Dorothea pursues Marco while uncovering secrets about the Divine Beast and the Esteemed One.

Dorothea raids the Ministry of Fairies but discovers Marco has already escaped with all Fairy Weapons. Marlya reveals her Fairy possession to her group, prompting suspicion that Ray Dawn or Veronica will be targeted next. A massive manhunt ensues for Marco and his associates, leading them to investigate Branhut, Fuzan, and Isharat. Klara and Serge travel to Isharat, the hometown of Marco’s lieutenant Griff Mercer. Meanwhile, Marlya and Free go to Branhut, Wolfran’s hometown, where they learn about his past. Wolfran secretly meets Michel in prison, giving him a suicide drug after learning of Marlya’s condition. Marlya and Free then head to Fuzan to find Olek Gunnar, a guardian of Suna. They locate him in the ruins of Suna, where he explains the Divine Beast is a man-made creation by Tupal. Olek reveals Veronica was meant to be sacrificed to the Esteemed One, not Marlya. He also states he led Marco to the forest to capture the Esteemed One, which is needed to revive the Divine Beast. Marlya and Free stop at an abandoned castle, but Wolfran arrives to capture Marlya. Back in the capital, Prime Minister Helwise is assassinated by Griff.

Wolfran frees Axel while Ray Dawn becomes acting Prime Minister and Marlya faces Veronica.

After Free repels Wolfran’s kidnapping attempt on Marlya, she proposes using herself as bait to trap the Eins Order, a plan Free supports and Nein reluctantly accepts. Ray Dawn arrives in Rondacia, offering to surrender his dukedom to succeed Helwise as Prime Minister, a move confirmed by the Emperor. Marlya discloses her survival from Suna to Ray Dawn, who warns her against heeding Fairy voices, admitting he slaughtered humans there to remain the sole possessed individual. Meanwhile, Marco plans his next steps now that three known Fairy-possessed individuals are in Rondacia. Wolfran releases Axel from prison, instructing him to contact Liscar. Axel later offers Liscar a unique job opportunity. Free and Marlya track Veronica, but she rejects Marlya’s pleas for mercy and flees to pursue her revenge.

Ray Dawn is ambushed by the Order while attending Helwise's funeral and captured for a ritual.

Dorothea escorts Ray Dawn to Helwise's funeral, but their convoy is attacked by the Order using artificial fairies and troops. Free fights Wolfran while Nein battles Liscar. Ray Dawn is severely injured, forcing Marlya and Robert to evacuate him to a remote safehouse. Robert leaves for help, allowing Veronica to arrive and battle the injured Ray Dawn. Marlya intervenes, noting that Ray Dawn regrets the destruction of Suna and spared Veronica during a previous assassination attempt. Ray Dawn admits his regret and apologizes, expecting no forgiveness. Veronica abandons her revenge, realizing it solves nothing, while Marlya promises to determine their next steps. Griff suddenly attacks and captures Ray Dawn. The Order extracts Ray Dawn's Fairy organ to begin the ritual to awaken the Divine Beast.

Marlya and Veronica unite to stop the Divine Beast while Free battles Griff and Wolfran.

Marlya and Veronica recover from Griff's attack and agree to collaborate against the Divine Beast. As the creature awakens and kills Marco and his followers, it turns surroundings to dust. Nein defeats Liscar, while Dorothea eliminates his troops. Free defeats Wolfran but spares him, asserting the world will endure despite the Order. The Divine Beast rampages through Rondacia, forcing people to shelter in the palace. Klara, Serge, and Robert find a wounded Damien but cannot stop the destruction. Free confronts Griff, who claims Marco chose him to rebuild the world. Wolfran joins Free to fight Griff. Marlya hears the Divine Beast's voice during evacuation efforts and realizes it is being forced to destroy everything, resolving to free it.

Free and Marlya defeat the Divine Beast, leading to post-war reconstruction and character farewells.

Marlya and Veronica pursue the Divine Beast while Free and Wolfran defeat Griff, though Wolfran suffers injuries. Wolfran accepts his family's loss as Marlya and Veronica attack the beast, resulting in Veronica's fatal impalement. Before turning to dust, Veronica thanks Marlya and pushes her to safety, allowing their Fairies to fuse. Free wounds the Divine Beast, enabling Marlya to destroy its Fairy Organ from within. Three months later, Rondacia begins reconstruction. Dorothea arrests Axel for prison escape, while Nein jokes about becoming Prime Minister. Damien joins the Ministry of Fairies, and Sweetie and Patricia depart Eastal. Wolfran returns home. Marlya visits Veronica's grave at Suna, promising to remain an ambassador between humans and Fairies. She departs with Free, who reminds her of their shared dream for a future where Fairies are not used as weapons.
