A man predicts an apocalypse while viewing photos of the ageless Befort Children. The narrative follows these albinos through history, showing failed recruitment of Conrad in Holland and a late arrival for Serafine in the South Eastern Islands. Mel suffers amnesia and is captured by Duma, while others escape. In 2012, martial artist Toma encounters a silent girl named Helga on a statue. After visiting his fortune-teller mother and assisting a thief named Chit, Toma returns home to find Helga abducted by mysterious men.
