Kirchner assaults the research ship while pursuing Shiberu, but encounters mysterious black entities hunting the Children. Agi tries to calm Kirchner and stop the entities, but his efforts fail. The situation ends tragically. The Children and Helga are reunited and decide to explain their origins and background to each other.
