The Nautilus docks at an island for supplies, leading to awkward moments when Jean interrupts Nadia changing. Grandis and Electra vie for Captain Nemo's affection, though he remains unaware. Jean joins Sanson on a hunt while Nadia connects with Grandis, who reveals her tragic past. Grandis grew up wealthy and was deceived by a swindler, sparking an obsession with jewels like the Blue Water. However, meeting Nemo has diminished her desire for Nadia's treasure. The group returns at night with a killed baby deer, upsetting Nadia, who departs the camp in distress.
