Shun and Ruriko travel north to investigate the disappearance of an A.E.G.I.S. cargo plane. Amidst the scenic landscape, they encounter Invader monsters. A mysterious girl who speaks an ancient language and can summon the "Gate of Snow" intervenes to save them from the overwhelming enemy forces. She is isolated in the wilderness and carries a burden of past pain and loss. Shun is the only one capable of freeing her from her secret prison, uncovering deeper secrets beyond the initial mission.
