Ep. 9: Shun confronts haunting visions while a new student helps him find resolve

Shun suffers from disturbing visions of loved ones killed by Invaders, hindering his duties as a Gate Keeper. This struggle prompts Ruriko to intervene directly. As attacks intensify and the Apollo 11 shuttle landing approaches, Shun questions his path forward. Kageyama Reiji, a new student returning from overseas, transfers to the school. Described as a protector of women and a playboy, Reiji appears unskilled in combat. Despite this, he assists Shun in clarifying his necessary actions and accepting his current existence, helping him regain the conviction to persist in his role.
