Ep. 27: GetBackers recover a stolen briefcase from high school girl Riko Tachibana for Mr. Sasakida.
Ban and Ginji are hired by Mr. Sasakida to retrieve a stolen briefcase suspected to be taken by teenage girls. They encounter Riko Tachibana, who demands payment for information and forces them to buy her dinner, clothes, and jewelry. She also makes Kazuki, Shido, and Himiko pay, angering them. The group searches a garbage dump where Kazuki, Shido, and Himiko help find the empty briefcase. Riko reveals a disk inside was thrown by a friend. Men in black arrive to claim the disk and take Riko hostage, but The GetBackers defeat them. Akabane appears, having been hired to transport the case. Sasakida explains his demotion and failed deal with the men in black. The GetBackers forgive him and return the disk. Akabane and Riko exchange email addresses, while Kazuki, Shido, and Himiko chase Ban and Ginji for involving them.
