Ep. 23: Shido and allies confront Makubex while clones and data hacks complicate the battle.
Fudou assaults Ban, but Shido intervenes to save him. Suddenly, clones of Fudou and Akabane materialize before Shido, Ginji, and Akabane. Kazuki and Emishi join the fight, realizing the intruder interception programs generate clones from collected data. Akabane battles his duplicates while Ginji reunites with Ban and Hevn to stop Makubex. Sakura awakens in a pharmacy where Himiko explains she brought her there. Juubei, blinded by black needles, states Makubex miscalculated. Sakura informs Gen that Makubex hacked Babylon City’s mainframe and virtual reality systems. Gen admits he raised Makubex. Juubei and Himiko decide to leave with Sakura to help stop Makubex. After Shido, Kazuki, and Emishi defeat the Fudou clones, their own clones appear. Ban, Ginji, Akabane, and Hevn encounter Kagami, who lets the seven pass to see Makubex, who awaits them.
