Yuuji Takamura hires the GetBackers to restore memories lost three months prior during a car crash with his girlfriend Midori. The team investigates various locations, but Paul discovers Midori’s account is fabricated. Midori eventually asks them to stop, fearing some truths are better forgotten. They return to the accident site and Yuuji’s home, where an assassin attacks from a lighthouse. Ban uses Jagan to help Yuuji recall his past, revealing he and Midori are underworld spies wanting to escape to Europe. They depart for Europe that night, leaving their previous life behind.
