Six months after Sakura gives birth in the Northern Alps, GB the English Setter finds the pup and shares his prey with it. His boss Nero reprimands GB, ordering him and Sasuke to steal ducks from a farm. GB abandons Sasuke to a guard dog but the pup intervenes, prompting GB to help save Sasuke. They encounter Smith, who lost a leg protecting GB, and travel to Sakura, who is dying. Sakura asks Smith to take her son to Gajou. After burying Sakura, GB names the pup Weed. He, Smith, and the pup journey to Gajou in Ohu, while Sasuke departs to locate his human owner.
