Ep. 3: Weed discovers Ohu's tragic fate and confronts the monster Kaibutsu while uncovering his father's secret

Weed travels alone to Ohu after his companions rest, arriving to find hundreds of dog corpses instead of a paradise. He meets Ken and Kagetora, sons of former Ohu soldiers, who explain that a demon named Kaibutsu attacked, killing dogs. Humans mistakenly blamed the dogs and shot them, despite pleas from guard dogs to fight the monster. GB arrives, claiming Weed is the leader's son, which the dogs reject. Weed encounters his father, Gin, who denies having a son before Kaibutsu attacks. Gin is captured and killed, but his substitute, Tokimune, is identified by Smith. Weed slashes Kaibutsu's skin, surprising everyone, before the monster flees from human gunfire. The group reunites with Smith and Mel, mourning Tokimune while observing mysterious shadowy dogs watching them.
