Ep. 4: Guard dogs reveal Kaibutsu's origin and ally with Ohu army to defeat him
A group of domesticated guard dogs reveals that Kaibutsu is a mutated dog created by human experimentation, not a natural monster. After escaping a laboratory and killing many humans, Kaibutsu fled to the mountains. The Ohu army joins the dogs to fight him, and they cross a cliff together, forming an alliance. Jerome, the German Shepherd leader, asks Weed to lure Kaibutsu out of Gajou to attack his exposed arteries. During the ambush, Kaibutsu kills North and attacks Weed. Smith enters to help, biting Kaibutsu's neck despite being smashed against rocks. The resulting rockfall crushes both Smith and Kaibutsu. Smith dies, and his body is dragged out while Weed and others mourn. Inside, Kaibutsu survives the collapse and questions why the dogs support humans.
