Ep. 5: Reinhard appoints new admirals to crush Kastrop's satellite-backed rebellion
Aired on January 24, 1989

5
Reinhard establishes a new admiralty, selecting commoners and lower nobles such as August Samuel Wahlen, Cornelius Lutz, Karl Gustav Kempf, Fritz Josef Bittenfeld, Ernest Mecklinger, Wolfgang Mittermeyer, and Oskar von Reuenthal to lead his fleets. Simultaneously, Maximilian von Kastrop rebels against the Empire, believing he is protected by the Artemis Necklace, a network of heavily armed satellites constructed with Phezzan's assistance. Reinhard dispatches a fleet commanded by Kircheis to suppress the uprising. The forces successfully destroy the satellite system. Kastrop is subsequently killed by his own retainers, resulting in him being the sole casualty of the military operation.
