Ep. 60: Alliance Forces Decommission Ships While Yang Is Framed and Arrested

On July 17, 799 S.C. / 1 N.I.C., Alliance forces begin dismantling cruisers and carriers per the Treaty of Barlat. The Merkatz freedom fighter fleet attacks the Imperial flagship, prompting many decommissioned personnel and vessels to defect. Oberstein manipulates Lennenkanpt into blaming Yang, leading to his arrest by Alliance soldiers at his residence. Yang’s subordinates detect heightened surveillance, signaling imminent danger. The Alliance government fears that if the Empire executes Yang, it will trigger a popular uprising. This unrest would provide the Empire with justification to further subjugate the Alliance. Consequently, the Alliance considers executing Yang first to prevent external interference and maintain control over the situation.
