Kircheis Proposes Negotiating With Herxheimer's Daughter To Secure The Seffle Generator
Jul 21, 2000The Hässliche Entlein escapes an Alliance patrol by destroying their squadron using a captured directional Seffle particle generator prototype. Because the device is digitally locked on Count Herxheimer's ship, the crew cannot access its directionality program or physically transport it. While the Hässliche Entlein returns to the Iserlohn Corridor via an alternate route to avoid detection, Siegfried Kircheis suggests to Reinhard von Müsel that they strike a deal with Margareta von Herxheimer. She is the Count's ten year old daughter, the sole survivor of her family, and the only living person who possesses the access code required to unlock the prototype.

Margareta defects with prototype data while Reinhard risks untested tech to breach blockade
Jul 21, 2000Margareta von Herxheimer agrees to Siegfried Kircheis’s terms, trading the directional Seffle particle generator prototype access code for her family’s safe defection to the Free Planets Alliance. Imperial Military Intelligence officer Lieutenant Commander Bendling verifies the data alongside Reinhard von Müsel and Kircheis. Upon discovering disturbing details regarding Count Herxheimer’s defection, Bendling abandons his post to protect Margareta, a decision Reinhard approves. The group departs in the Hässliche Entlein. Days later, the ship nears the Iserlohn Corridor with low supplies. Reinhard gambles on the imperfect prototype, using its directional capabilities to saturate and ignite the waiting Alliance blockade. The tactic succeeds, allowing the Hässliche Entlein to enter the corridor unscathed. The vessel receives resupply from Ernst von Eisenach before returning safely to Iserlohn Fortress, completing its mission.

The Third Tiamat Battle 1
Jul 21, 2000In December 794 UC, the Galactic Empire launches a massive campaign of 35,400 ships against the Free Planets Alliance to honor Kaiser Friedrich IV's thirtieth reign year. The Alliance learns of the invasion through Fezzan, but faces internal scandal as escort warships abandon a merchant convoy under Imperial attack. By February 795 UC, the Alliance deploys the 5th, 10th, and 11th Fleets to intercept the enemy in the Tiamat Starzone, with the 4th and 6th Fleets potentially joining as reserves. During the ensuing clash, Willem Holland commands the 11th Fleet to break standard tactics, charging haphazardly into Imperial lines to create confusion among the opposing forces.

Reinhard's Fleet Destroys the 11th Fleet and Gains the Brünhild
Jul 21, 2000The Third Battle of Tiamat sees Willem Holland’s 11th Fleet initially dominate using aggressive tactics. Reinhard von Müsel counters with a precise long-range strike that destroys many ships, including Holland’s flagship Epimetheus. Without their commander, the 11th Fleet is routed by other Imperial forces. The 5th and 10th Fleets minimize losses by covering the retreat of survivors before leaving the Tiamat Starzone. Following this victory, Reinhard is promoted to Admiral and receives several honorary positions. Most importantly, he is granted the experimental battleship Brünhild as his personal flagship, a reward he values above all others.
