Ep. 8: Military strikes Godzilla while crew finds Manda and London faces monster assault

The Japanese military attacks Godzilla, triggering a supercooled gas explosion that petrifies the beast and clears red dust. The Otaki crew finds a partially eaten Manda carcass near Tokyo. Meanwhile, Satou investigates Ashihara, and scientists speculate on Godzilla’s transformation. In London, Mei and Professor Li arrive as Mandas and Rodans attack. Li reveals Ashihara used a time-bending computer to predict a 2030 catastrophe involving red dust, motivating his prevention efforts. Near the dead Manda, Gorou, Yun, Haberu, and Jet Jaguar discover a weblike structure and are attacked by six Kumonga. Jet Jaguar saves Yun and defeats most Kumonga, but one escapes with a civilian. The remaining monsters revive, and dozens more emerge from the web-covered building as the group searches for the escapee.
