Ep. 3: Shu investigates his classmate Yahiro for Norma Gene distribution while learning Void extraction from Inori.

Shu remains stunned that Inori transferred to his school and now lives with him. GHQ Anti-Bodies director Shuichiro Keido orders Major Makoto Waltz Segai to track Norma Gene distribution hotspots. Gai explains he sent Inori to protect Shu after a student nicknamed Sugar witnessed the Funeral Parlor’s battle with the GHQ at Roppongi. Inori teaches Shu to extract Voids, leading him to investigate classmates for Sugar’s signature shears. After evading class representative Kanon Kusama, Shu identifies Yahiro Samugawa as Sugar due to a mismatch between his calm demeanor and movie preferences. Yahiro reveals his true self, but Shu subdues him by extracting his Void. Inori attempts to kill Yahiro, but Shu intervenes, hoping to trust his friend. They agree to keep secrets, yet Yahiro betrays Shu the next day by contacting Segai.
